Since its founding, InterPrep has been called upon to play major roles in product development both in foreign languages and in international education. Examples of its work in this area follow.

ACTFL Performance Guidelines for K-12 Learners

For one of the foreign language profession´s two major undertakings in the1990s–defining what students should know and be able to do and then how well they should do it–InterPrep was engaged to head the development of the latter initiative. For a three-year period, InterPrep led the task force that conceived and developed the ACTFL Performance Guidelines for K-12 Learners, now regarded as one of the major cornerstones for foreign language instruction and assessment in the U.S.

Federal Programs Publications

InterPrep has served as author for several publications attributed to both the U.S.Department of Education and the National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition (formerly National Clearinghouse for Bilingual Education). All of these works focus on the efficacy of the Foreign Language Assistance Program, a grant initiative of the U.S. Department of Education.

 

 

Southern Center for International Studies

The Southern Center for International Studies, located in Atlanta, is a major producer of high school / college/university materials that include video footage from the Center´s highly successful and unique Conferences of Former Secretaries of State and Defense. Coordinating print materials, written by well-known experts in the field, accompany the video series. InterPrep served as project coordinator for both East Asia in Transition and Latin America in Transition.
